Manga: Zombie Hide Sex Vol. 1

Hi, pornies. I hope you're feeling okay today. After a quick Twitter poll, I'll be reviewing fan translated mangas here. ^^ As I said there, I try to be as correct as possible, but some mangas are never oficially translated into English. For today, I come with Zombie Hide Sex Vol. 1, by Yuo Yodogawa. I read a fan translation by Modan Scans since there is no not an official English release right now; please support the mangaka if possible.

When zombies suddenly arrive in town, Mishiba, a salesman at a convenience store, has no choice but to flee in order to survive. As he is about to be attacked, a soldier, Chigasaki, saves his life. But in exchange for his protection, he asks Mishiba to lend him his thighs so he can... masturbate?? The excitement is more intense when you are in danger!

The story is pretty good, to be honest. I liked the characters, their designs, and the pace of this first volume. It's so fast and atractive that you don't realize time is passing by! I devoured this one in no time, and really liked Mishiba as a character. He has that kinky vibe hidden under a soft, innocent surface, while becoming a different kind of man thanks to Chigasaki, who's the sexy, dangerous guy we all dream with at some point. I'm eager to see how he evolves in the next volume.

Aesthetically speaking, this manga has a rough vibe that matches the tone of the story. While being an apocalyptic, horror story, it can also be funny, tender, cute and sexy as hell. The lines and design are fine, but it is the expression and the sexual scenes that make this manga so pleasant to look at; can you blame me? There's a dose of sex in every single chapter!

Although the synopsis could hint a toxic relationship, Mishiba and Chigasaki become a healthy, funny duo, learning from one another. However, the romance part was a bit too fast if you ask me. There was room for more development as their relationship evolved from purely sexual to an emotional one, and I mean it mostly because of the last chapters. You'll know what I mean when you get there.

I think Modan Scans did a good job with this manga because of how smoothly it reads. Yuo Yodogawa has great ideas, knows how to work them, and a good handZombie Hide Sex Vol. 1, by is more than just horror. Ir's a cute story with bits of drama that presents human characters in a human world that changes a lot. They do the same at their own pace, but without loosing their essence. You get not only zombies, but also a good arousal!
