Transcend your fear of negative cards with this beginner-friendly guide to the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot. Using his engaging and easy-going style, Elliot Adam teaches you how to move through the shadows and into the light no matter what card you pull.
We’ve all been there: hoping for the best as we draw a card…but oh no, it’s the Devil! This book shows you that fear won’t prevail—every card can become something positive. Elliot helps you find the courage to tackle any reading by explaining both upright and reversed meanings in a constructive way. His approach features unique spreads and interpretations, and he encourages you to use your inner wisdom to start an uplifting dialogue with your deck. Fearless Tarot provides everything you need to read tarot without fear.

This is book follows the format of a basic reading on tarot cards and their meanings, the focus in how to make the readings positive and healing oriented. You don't get a history or personal narritive about this deck, but new meanings and different sides to the ones you already knew, along with a few new readings spreads, along with suggestions and advice on the matter.

There were cards that surprised me, such as the infamuous 4 and 10 swords, along with the Devil, The Tower and 8 of Cups, among others. Adam makes a great work at finding a silver lining to each of the cards. While some of the meanings seemed a bit of stange due to my own opinions of their messages, but there's enough room to accomadte both in.

I did have a bit of a hard time with the long descriptions. Some of them felt longer than they should have been, at least for me, which made some of the segments loose their impact. I've always found it strange that the reversed meanings of th card are shorter than those for the upright card, and this book is one of those cass. While there is a bit of perosnal information here and there, most of the time to get to know meanings and their examples.

I would say Elliot Adam did a great job with Fearless Tarot: How to Give a Positive Reading in Any Situation, even more being his debut as a published author. It is innovative, interesting, atractive and easy to follow. It doesn't matter if you know about it or not, as I said at the beginning, but how open you are to learn something new.
