Book review: Naughty & Nice

Rise and shine, pornies. ^^ I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I just finished reading another novel that you need to get. Naughty & Nice, by DJ Jamison, lives up to its title, making it an interesting journey to get to know both Jonas and Quinn. While it is related to Secret Admirer, also by Jamison, you don't need to read it to fully enjoy this novel, although I would advice you to do it before so you get the few references in it. Thanks to Neon Rainbow Review  for sending me a review copy!

Why can't I forget your kiss...
Dear Quinn, Why must I have these feelings for you? You're my ex-stepbrother, and nothing will change that truth, no matter how many letters I write.
I never expected to see you again--or to rescue you from the side of the road in a blizzard. I didn't think you would ever like me, much less kiss me in a steaming hot tub on a snowy night. It seems we make better lovers than brothers, which is all kinds of naughty and nice while we're snowed in together.
But can this new intimacy last when the skies clear and my family finally arrives for the holidays, or are we just two guys in a mountain cabin with a great view of everything we want but can't have?
Hopelessly yours,
Jonas

I so didn't expect this book to come to life! Jonas was a minor character on Secret Admirer, so when I knew about this novel it was a big surprise, and of course I signed in! DJ has a good hand, funny ideas, and while this was a nice, cute romance, it had a good dose of kink after the first half of it.

You already know I'm a lover of descriptions, that they immerse or take me out of the reading depending on how good they are, if they add anyhting at all. This book was a pleasure to the eyes and mind. I got so into it that I only paused when I totally needed to, and my phone fell on my face several times as I fought back my need to sleep.

The first half wasn't that good, though. There were a few parts when the ex-stepbrother drama was a bit repetitive for me, and while I know it must be conflictive, it was hard to sympathize with those feelings. While I enjoyed the book since the first page, it became a bit strange to read "he is my ex-steptbrother" and similar phrases.

If you're into winter-holiday-Christmas romances with a bit of drama and good naughty scenes with explicit talk, you're gonna enjoy Naughty & Nice for sure. DJ Jamison crafted a great surprise for her readers with this book, and I'm sure many of you will enjoy this sweet yet kinky love story. The fact that includes topics such as masculine mental health and body shame gives it a big plus, by the way!

About DJ Jamison:
DJ Jamison writes sweet but spicy M/M romance that most readers consider relatively low-angst. She grew up in a working-class family, and many of those influences can be found in her books: family drama, workplace conflict, and of course, love! DJ lives in Kansas with her husband, two sons, a timid snake, and a sadistic cat named Birdie.
