Let me get this straight: I'm already in love wih shape shifters. Althoguh I've only recently started reviewing the genre, I read this and that, and found that it quickly lends itself to repetitive elements. However, not the case for this one! You will get many surprises with Liam and Russ break the mold for sure, and more than once!
I really, really liked how the author created this world and innovated, using animals you don't often get. We've all seen wolves, foxes, bears... but there are some nice additions I cant wait to see in the future. The idea of a shifter-haven kind of place is amazing, I like that, but it's still different here: mediums, witches, and I would say there seems to be more on the way!
This book had a lot of romance and sex and cuteness, maybe not to much of world-building, but being the first one I don't care that much. You get a clear idea of what to expect, and Morgan Brice knows exacly how to deliver. The dynamics between these two was just... arousing!
Huntsman gives a solid start to a promising series with nice elements, likeable and believable characters, and seems to be a universe with lots of pottential. I'm not that much into shared stories, since there wil be some cross-over with other books from the author, but I'm still eager to see where this leads. One things's for sure: I want to go back to Fos Hollow!
