Book review: The Ultimate Guide to Witchcraft

Hello, pornies. I hope you feel great today. Keeping with the readings I had, there is another book you will like to know about. It comes out next year, so prepare your cards.

The Ultimate Guide to Witchcraft: A Moder-Day Guide to Making Magick, by Anjou Kiernan, is filled with so many useful surprises I couldn’t help but read it in almost in one sitting. Honestly, I didn’t expect this amount of details, tips, and handy formulas and rituals, along with explanations on how to successfully build your Craft.

  • Paperback: 192 pages
  • Publisher: Fair Winds Press (January 7, 2020)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 1592339298
  • ISBN-13: 978-1592339297

Anjou Kiernan goes beyond the basics about what Witchcraft means, the phases of the Moon and the Sun, the holidays, the elements and other fundamental ideas to become a witch. There is not enough space to include in-depth information, but there is enough to get you started in every single topic.

Not only that, but The Ultimate Guide to Witchcraft also includes beautiful, BEAUTIFUL photographs that accompany the mystical tone the author used for the book. This not only makes a more light reading but also is a caress to the eyes. Did I mention that Anjou Kiernan took the photographs as well? Well, I just did.

As I said before, this is a book that reads itself. My plan was to take it easy with this one, but I couldn’t, I simply couldn’t put it down until I was done with it, and I don’t regret it although my eyes do.

I do have problems with the pompous title since there are more detailed books on the matter, (yes, Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft, for example). However, I’m more inclined to think of this as a simple, quicker starters’ book recommendation, for it also includes Sigils, candle magic, astrology, divination, and more!

The Ultimate Guide to Witchcraft: A Moder-Day Guide to Making Magick, by Anjou Kiernan, is a good reading, nonetheless, filled with tips we can all use regardless of our particular Craft and spiritual Path. I am often annoyed by the fact that the classics are the only recommendations I can give for people who want to know more about Witchcraft, but with books like this one, the job is easier, way much easier! Thanks to the publisher for the copy!

About Anjou Kiernan:
