Book review: Psychic Witch

Hi, pornies! I hope you are having a beautiful holiday season and that Daddy Claus gives you a nice gift this year. Hehe.

I recently finished a book everyone on my Instagram feed has been talking about. Coming from one of the witches I follow on Patheos Pagan, I couldn’t expect any less. Psychic Witch: A Metaphysical Guide to Meditation, Magick & Manifestation, by Mat Auryn, is everything I expected it to be and even more! Perfect for baby witches and Elders as well, it offers all the right tools to open that third eye once and for all.

  • Print Lenght: 312 pages
  • Publisher: Llewellyn Publications (February 8, 2020)
  • Expected Publication Date: February 8, 2020
  • ISBN-10: 0738760846
  • ISBN-13: 978-0738760841

If you think you must come from a long lineage of psychics or witches in order to develop strong psychic abilities, or that these talents are not connected to witchcraft, then this is the book for you. Psychic Witch is also the right book for you if you want to go further in your psychic practice, reach a new level and feel more confident about it. Or maybe you are simply wondering how these work, how humans can develop such talents.

Mat Auryn blends both Craft and science to explain the basic concepts behind his exercises. You get to understand how brainwaves work, how to alter them, how physical senses have a psychic counterpart, and how to fully develop each of them regardless of the one you are more naturally inclined to.

With a strong foundation on traditional and new practices, the author gives you +90 exercises that help you in your way. This doesn’t surprise me since he has studied with high-level Elders such as Devin Hunter, Christopher Penczak, and the one and only Laurie Cabot, the Official Witch of Salem, ladies and gentlemen.

What I loved the most about Psychic Witch is that it works for any kind of witch as long as they want it to work. You need no material, follow a particular tradition, or a schedule in order to practice, and you always get to know where the material is coming from. I admire Mat for how simple he makes things sound, which gives you enough confidence to follow his advice. And which reader wouldn’t do it?

Psychic Witch: A Metaphysical Guide to Meditation, Magick & Manifestation is that kind of book we’ve been waiting for since we discovered witchcraft, coming from one of the most well-learned and reliable practitioners of the Craft. Do yourself a favor a get a copy of this book once it is out in the market. Yep, your boy got an ARC. Thanks for sending it, Llewellyn!
