Hello pornies. How's everything going over there? Today I come with another manga that will make you smile and laugh a lot, that's for sure. It did wonders to my mental state and I can only hope it does the same to those who read it: I'm Looking for Serious Love!, by Shoko Rakuta. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy!

I want to start by saying this is not for the light-hearted. While it is not horror or heavy, this manga deals with a few difficult subjects and some morally-ambiguous characters. I don't usually start with the cons and the problems, but seeing that there were so many negative reviews that could have been avoided by reading the synopsis and disclaimer, I feel it is very unfair since it was very entertaining and cute.
That being said, sorry if I let my fanboy take control from now on. I loved how sweet this manga was at times, being but humorous and cruel with both main characters, presenting an interesting enemies-to-lovers dynamic. I'm Looking for Serious Love! is the kind of story you'd read if you want simplicity and complexity in good balance.
While it is true that many classical elements and troupes of yaoi are present here, they don't lack charm or appeal because of how the author develops the whole story. The serious, problematic scenes, were treated just like they should, and while it may seem controversial for some, I enjoyed the gray atmosphere that became something more wholesome. Also, hurray for the uncensored content! More of that and more often!
Although a bit controversial and a bit morally-ambiguous, I'm Looking for Serious Love! is a story easy to enjoy and explore with an open mind. Don't let the cute looks fool you, making you think it will be simple to have an opinion so easily on this book. It will be interesting for sure, but it will also make you smile and laugh a lot at the bittersweet yet funny interactions between the characters.
