Comic review: T-shirt

Good morning, pornies! I hope you're having fun these days. I just had a bit of a mental breakdown, nothing serious or major, but a few hurtful comments that moved me more than they should, so I had to heal myself before I kept going through my day. And today I want to tell you about a comic I really liked: T-shirt, by Clive Masteir. You can read it for free in his Instaram while he updates it or see the uncensored version in his Patreon. Thanks a bunch to the author for sending me a review copy!

  • Print Length: 37 pages.
  • Publisher: Selfpublished (June 21, 2021).
  • Publication Date: June 21, 2021.
  • Genres: Gay, Romance, Comedy.
  • Rating: 3 / 5

This is another short comic, like The Leak, but contrary to that one that would have benefited from having more development and getting the reader into context, this one works pretty well on it's own. We don't need many details, more information, only what Clive shows us in it. Sometimes you need something simple, direct, and with no complexities, which is exactly what you get when reading T-shirt.

The designs are still pretty good and the structure is so simple, the length so short, is something you'll read in a few minutes. There are a few panels I liked more than others, my main problem was with the close-ups, which didn't seem to be that necessary, but I liked the details. Some dialogues seemed a little unnatural, not as in Clive's past work.

However, coming from a comic of this style, there's nothing you should expect beyond a basic flirty story where both characters look good and have an interesting way to connect. Although the writing is not the strongest point in T-shirt, I can't deny I liked it. It has a simple beauty that is easy to like, but your reaction will depend on what you are into.

Manga: FANGS Volume 1

Good morning, pornies. ^^ I hope you've been okay these days. I've been reading a bit more than usual, taking care of real-life matters, which seems to be a trend in my life lately (he, hehe, #IHateThis), but there was a manga that kept me alive during this time, a story about gay vampires who do their best to be good citizens. I'm talking about FANGS Volume 1, by Billy Balibally. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy!

  • Series: FANGS #1
  • Print Length: 240 pages.
  • Publisher: Tokyo Pop (June 29, 2021).
  • Expected Print Publication Date: June 29, 2021.
  • Genres: Fantasy, Gay, Manga, Romance, Vampires, Yaoi
  • Rating: 4 / 5.
Bitten by a vampire at a club, nineteen-year-old En barely survived. Taken under the wing of Ichii — a member of the health and welfare division of the vampire rights organization known as FANGS — En learns he's to be taught about this new "world" he must survive in.
In order to control the urge to suck blood and attack innocents, FANGS established a "pairing system", where two vampires support one another with regular meals. As a young, virginal vampire, En is highly sought after by many senior vamps. That is, until he declares his intention to pair with his guardian, Ichii...

Let's start with the fact that the art is beautiful. Wow. Just wow! I liked how atmospheric and graphic the story could be, favoring one of those styles depending on what it needed to express. It could be funny, sexy, serious, and slightly dramatic as well. Any story that can use different genres and has a clean art style that is a visual delight catches my attention right away.

But FANGS Volume 1 is not only something beautiful. Billy Balibally has a good storytelling style that is not completely linear, but shows you just enough to enjoy all of it, goes a bit back in the story chronology to explain a few details, favor world-building, get you into context, and then goes back to the plot. While this first volume features several characters and it could be a little hard to keep track of everyone, Balibally makes it easy for the readers to know who's who.

The idea of vampires getting far from the beasts we usually get in horror fiction is slightly a new one, but this is the first time that I see a pairing system and a context built around that concept. While we didn't get all the details on how this came to be and there are still many questions regarding the past of the characters we meet, we get enough to stay interested in them until the end.

If you like a good dose of sexy vampires (although with censored body parts #CriesInFudanshi) and an entertaining story, you're definitely going to enjoy FANGS Volume 1 and will wait for the next volume just like I'm doing right now. Billy Balibally had a solid beginning with good ideas, not to mention an amazing artistic style you don't get tired of at all. Needless to say I have high expectations for Volume 2!

Comic review: The Leak

Good morning, pornies. I hope you've had good days lately. I've been so tired and a little sick, so it's been hard to keep up with all real life responsibilities and keep Kyler alive, but I've kept an eye in the news regarding Jerry Paul Smith, and also had the chance to read a good comic I want to tell you about: The Leak, by Clive Masteir. You can read it for free in his Instaram while he updates it or see the uncensored version in his Patreon. Thanks a bunch to the author for sending me a review copy!

  • Print Length: 37 pages.
  • Publisher: Selfpublished (June 17, 2021).
  • Publication Date: June 17, 2021.
  • Genres: Gay, SciFi, Romance, Comedy.
  • Rating: 4 / 5.

There's been a lot of improvement in Clive's work since Dance, and let's not get started with the the first comic he did, Arrival. I liked them both, considering they were the first works of a promising artist, but this one represents a step in the right direction. I liked the pace, the dialogues, the art, and basically everything!

This story features Andy and Alex from Arrival with a new, revamped look. I remember when Clive said his characters would look a little different because he changed the software he used, and I was really happy to see the contrast. Now, with a more solid style that is a little erotic, not sexual at all, but funny and entertaining in The Leak, he's getting a clear identity as an artist.

I would have liked a little bit more context with this story, to know what made Andy and Alex go to outer space, what happened to Earth, and more, but it's still a story that makes you think about a lot of things and just forget about life in general. Clive Masteir knows exactly how to prove a point in a creative way in short spaces.

I'm still interested in reading whatever he creates after... Oh, wait, yeah, I already have access to his newest comic, hehe. You can't blame me for showing off a little now and then. In short, go support this guy, see what he's doing because he's doing it well, and share his talent.

Queer Martyrs: Jerry Paul Smith (UPDATED)

Update July 4th, 2021: I haven't seen more official news on the matter, and the most recent ones are already 2-3 weeks old at this time. I won't consider Jerry as a martyr from now on because of the controversy. Although there are no official reports regarding him being a criminal that I can check (again, if someone knows about a site with official information, let me know), I believe in people and I seriously doubt many users in the internet would comment and share stories of abuse connected to this man. I will keep the entry for reference, but that's it.

EDIT: I just read many comments about Jerry being a catfish and predator by people who knew him. It seems media and many people on social media want to paint a good picture of this man, so just will wait for further news and details on the investigation. If that's the case, I will edit the original entry and post a new one as well about it.

Hello pornies, I hope you had a good weekend. Today I come with more news, a name we should remember and a story we need to share as often as possible: that of Jerry Paul Smith, 40 years old, being beaten to death by Isimemen David Etute, an 18 years old football player, on May 31 at Jerry's home in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Smith, courtesy of Smith family. Source.

The Roanoke Times reported that:
Reverberations continued to spread Thursday from the Memorial Day killing of a gay Blacksburg man whose alleged attacker, a Hokie linebacker, told police that he’d lashed out after discovering the person he met for a sexual encounter was not a woman.

A man who was born in the 80s and saw the liberation of the queer community, their rise as a recognized group, witness the fight for equality, witness the many victories, found his death at the hands of a XXI century guy just before Pride Month.

How insecure and how fragile must a man's masculinity be so they kill someone? I can understand a punch, a kick, an insult, nausea, and many more things I cannot think about right now. I can imagine how guilty, loathsome, dirty, ashamed, and embarrassed that guy had to feel. It's not what you usually expect to experience if you identify as straight, and it may have created so many conflicting emotions and thoughts I can almost feel sorry for him. But killingAdvocate gives enough details about it and the further actions:
A suspended Virginia Tech football player accused of killing a gay man has said he became enraged after discovering the person he had met for a sexual encounter was male.
Jerry Paul Smith was killed May 31 at his home in Blacksburg, Va. A medical examiner ruled he died of blunt force trauma to the head; an autopsy further revealed that every bone in his face was broken and that he had skull fractures, the Roanoke Times reports. His teeth had also been knocked out.
His body was discovered the following day, and Ismemen David Etute, 18, of Virginia Beach was arrested June 2. Etute is charged with second-degree murder.
Etute appeared in Montgomery County General District Court in Christiansburg Wednesday. Prosecutor Jason Morgan, in arguing against Etute’s release on bond, testified that the defendant had met Smith for oral sex April 10, after the two had connected on Tinder. Etute believed that the person he had hooked up with was a woman named Angie. He returned to Smith’s apartment May 31, realized Smith was a man, and flew into a rage.
It isn’t clear from media reports why Etute thought Smith was a woman during the initial encounter. No one has identified Smith as transgender; his family has said he was a gay man. But Etute became so agitated that he began punching Smith, according to information presented by Morgan and by defense attorney Jimmy Turk. (...)
Etute had entered Virginia Tech at midterm and participated in training with the football team. He is now suspended from both the team and the university.

I want to stay polite, to remain respectful, but I just can't, and I'd rather stay silent on my thoughts about it and not even share Etute's photo. I want to focus on this man who was left to die alone in his own home. However, I can't not write a prayer for and in honor of Mr. Smith to keep his story in mind and send him all the love he deserves.

Jerry Paul Smith's Activism Prayer
Join us as we march as tanks,
Rainbow army in the streets.
A living storm won't fade to black,
Electric rainbows made of steel.
Fuel our strength so we stay fighting,
Fill our heart so we stay brave,
Be our ground so we stay marching,
Make us louder so we stay heard.

Porn Review: Nikko Russo and Skyy Knox (Buddy System)

Good morning, pornies! I hope you are feeling better and are in the mood, because I've been watching a certain scene NON-STOP because... well, it's way too hot and has a good amount of my kinks in it! Let's start by saying that it has an older bottom and a younger top, and they both get out of control in this video! I got to see this scene for free on Weekends at NakedSword.

  • Movie: Buddy System, Scene 5.
  • Runtime: 00:21:55.
  • Studio: Falcon Studios.
  • Year: 2018.
  • Actors: Skyy Knox and Nikko Russo.
  • Director: mr. Pam.
  • Rating: 5 / 5 stars.
What else are friends for except to make sure you release all of your pent up sexual tension? When it comes down to getting what these hunks want, the 'Buddy System' is the only way to get off! Award-winning director, mr. Pam, brings you nine horny studs that love getting their dicks serviced and their asses filled. When Woody Fox gets a new job reviewing sex toys, he calls his buddy, Max Adonis, to help him try them out. Woody plunges Max's tight hole with a big stainless steel dildo before pumping him full of the real thing. Austin Wolf is getting serviced by Zander Lane when he discovers Devin Franco watching while sniffing his used jockstrap. Austin invites Devin to join in on the fun and fucks the cum out of both Devin and Zander before the guys open wide to share Austin's massive load in their eager mouths. Casey Jacks is a massage therapist who is seeing a new client, Alexander Muller. When Alexander's towel hits the floor, Casey can’t resist and soon he's bent over the table getting a rough reaming from Alexander's extra-large cock. Nikko Russo and Devin Franco lock eyes in the gym and soon ditch their workouts for something more fun. Devin's mouth finds Nikko's big uncut cock and they take turns working each other's throbbing meat. The two studs blast their loads, covering each other’s faces with warm loads. Skyy Knox offers to take some photos for Nikko Russo to use on the dating apps, but when Skyy sees Nikko's massive dick, that plan goes out the window. Skyy bends over to let Nikko pile drive him until Skyy gets the cum pounded out of him and Nikko finishes off on Skyy's tongue. The next time you need to get off, look no further than a new or old buddy for a warm mouth or an open ass.
Who hasn't dreamed about having some buddy fun? These are all scenes that I'm interested in, and this one specifically seems taken out of my dreams, a casual conversation that goes right to the point, with two men with a lot of sexual tension and chemistry. The camera work is just awesome and it focuses on all the right places and details, if you know what I mean.

Skyy Knox was a little weird at the beginning of Buddy System, Scene 5, with lots of dialogues and kind of an overacted overconfidence. It's one of those cases when you want to look natural so much that it's the least thing you look like. However, as soon as the action begins he's in his element and shines so much he becomes the star of the video.

Nikko Russo seemed more realistic in this video, very comfortable and eager to get between Skyy's legs. He's totally into it no matter what, yet lacked the same amount of energy Skyy had. It works in his favor, though, creating a contrast between a young, good-looking top, and a hyper-active, older power bottom. mr. Pam knew exactly how to make these two work together!

Buddy System, Scene 5 hits the right spot both sexually and technically. The sounds are just a delight, a caress to the ears, and incite caresses in other places. I'm eager to see the others and the rest of the work of mr. Pam. She has a nice eye, so he delivers exactly what we need. Not to mention that the rimming is just right on point.

Did you enjoy this video? *wink wink*. Let me know in the comments.  Kinky regards, K!

Queer Martyrs: Riley Hadley

Although the United Kingdom, and England in particular, is a very queer-friendly territory legally speaking, horrible news shocked the world a few weeks ago when details about the suicide of Riley Hadley, only 12 years old, after years of bullying. The reason? He had been questioning his sexuality and it seemed he was gay.
Riley with his big brother Jack Holmes (Image: Jack Holmes/BPM MEDIA). Source.
Let's just take a moment to think about what happened.
Only.
12.
Years.
Old.

This happened in Sidmouth, Devon, in October 15, 2019, but it wasn't until May of this year that people started telling all that happened, how he "was chased by peer groups in a park, pushed into a road and tripped in school corridors and he was afraid to go to school." Source.

People say bullying is not real, that kids should wait until they are adults to learn about sexual orientation, that educating them will turn them into something they are not. However, kids who knew nothing about sexual diversity made this boy give up on life.

On May 20, DevonLive reported that "an inquest held at Exeter’s County Hall today heard how Riley had been questioning his sexuality in the months before his death, which is believed to have made him a target for bullies." DailyMail also reported on the incident, specifying that:
On the morning of his death in October 2019 Riley sent a text message to a friend saying 'I have to come back to school'.
His friend replied 'why', but Riley did not read it.
(...)
Assistant coroner Alison Longhorn heard how Riley had been a victim of repeated bullying which included hurtful comments like 'do us all a favour and slit your wrists'.
Riley's mother returned to their home in Sidmouth, Devon, after work and found him hanging in his room.
A post mortem said he died from asphyxia by hanging.
Detective Inspector Charlotte Heath said police had spoken to around 30 children and found Riley had been the victim of bullying over a number of years.
Riley's friends said he felt concerned over his sexuality and that he was gay.

Kids know, kids are not naïve, kids are more intelligent than they are given credit for. We like to think we know better because we adults have more experience, we have lived longer, we know that it gets better, that it will all pass, but we were also kids once, and many seem like they want to forget it. I can only wonder why.

The last time I heard about something this devastating was after the suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer, in 2011 when he was 14 years old, and I honestly thought we were in a better place after 10 years. Not really, seems like. We need to stop this. We need to do something about this. I'm not saying someone because it is not only one person who's gonna change the world. It's us who need to change it, people, humans, who need to educate as much as possible, as often as possible.

One person can only do so much, but every grain of sand counts, so please share the news, share this story, share Riley's case, so people remember kids know, kids realize before we even get an idea. They know who they are, but they lack the experience, the strength, the hope, they are their own worst enemies. But. Kids. Know.

Words and knowledge are associated with air, the same air Riley decided to deny for himself. The same air I felt I lacked when I was bullied, when I was name called, when everything seemed to be pointless, when I almost lost all hope. But words are gone with the wind, the same wind that can break the chains, cleanse the space, clear the mind, and give hope when there's nothing left to hold on to. My only hope is for his angel to shine a light so story does not repeat itself again.

Riley's Air Prayer
Words like daggers on our backs,
Many wounds, no drops of blood,
Muffled cries by being stabbed,
Both lungs becoming storms.
By the power of air, guilt be gone.
By the power of wind, pain be gone.
By the power of sky, hurt be gone.
By the power of air, shame be gone.
By the power of air, wind and sky,
By the clouds above and breeze below,
An angel will shine with us tonight,
To heal the hurt and guide the lost.

Kinky regards, K!

Hello pornies, I hope you are doing good. I recently finished reading one book and I want to tell you all about because it is great, I liked it, and it touches upon a subject we often neglect in our practice. The best part is that it comes from one of my favorite author. I'm talking about Witchcraft for Daily Self-Care: Nourishing Rituals and Spells for a More Balanced Life, by Michael Herkes. Thanks to the author for letting me know about the ARC and to the publisher for sending me review copy!

  • Publication Date: June 1, 2021.

With a short yet juicy introduction to the most basic of the witchcraft basics, Michael Herkes lets the reader know just enough so they can embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing in all the senses. However, he made it all with a good sense of humor and easy-going explanations that make it all more entertaining, so even if you know this information you will enjoy reading it again.

What follows are several exercises, spells, rituals, meditations, prompts, and more, all of them focused on getting better, not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, spiritually, more connected to your abundance, your relationships, and your environment. Witchcraft for Daily Self-Care is a transformative reading that will also give you several ideas to create your own self-care rituals to enrich your witchy practice with.

With illustrations of Bárbara Malagoli (almost exclusively for the first part), the text by Michael Herkes is entertaining, humorous at times, understanding, and also serious when he needs it to be. I liked how diverse the spells and rituals were, some so simple you could do them anytime, and others which required a bit more preparation and some shopping; who doesn't like to do some witchy shopping?

This second part was a little of a heavy reading for me because I've never been friends with the spell-book format. Maybe it could have been easier for me if the author shared some of his own experiences more often, but in general it is a workbook. Witchcraft for Daily Self-Care: Nourishing Rituals and Spells for a More Balanced Life, by Michael Herkes, is a must have for witches and muggles alike because of the topic it touches and its wholesome approach to it. You won't regret getting this book!

Manga Review: Don't Call Me Daddy

Hello, pornies! How was your weekend? You already know it is my time to rest from social media and disconnect a bit from the world, and also to write a bit and schedule entries for the next week, hehe. Today I want to tell you about a book I was so sure I reviewed that it was almost a trauma when I realized I didn't. It is Don't Call Me Daddy, by Gorou Kanbe. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy!

  • Print Length: 176 pages.
  • Publisher: Tokyo Pop (June 1, 2020).
  • Publication Date: June 1, 2020.
  • Genres: Drama, Gay, Manga, Romance, Yaoi
  • Rating: 4,5 / 5.
Long before the events of Don't Call Me Dirty, Hanao Kaji and Ryuuji Mita were close friends...
When Ryuuji is left to raise his son Shouji as a single father, Hanao steps up to help him out. At first, their family life is happy and content, but Hanao's true feelings for Ryuuji become more and more difficult for him to ignore. The pressure of staying closeted eventually becomes too much to bear; Hanao leaves, choosing to run from his feelings and his fears of somehow "messing up" Shouji's life when he starts getting teased at school for having two dads.
Years later, when he comes home to care for his aging father and ends up advising Shouji on his blossoming relationship with Hama, Hanao realizes it's time to face his own past... and his future.

I have pretty much the same opinion about this book as with the first one, with the difference that I love how different the pairing is. I love young and adult men in love and in action, that's a given for anyone who reads this blog regularly, but older men deserve much more representation. We usually think about hunk, muscled guys when we speak about gay people, but what about those sexy daddies out there? Don't Call Me Daddy is a good first step to fill the void.

The relationship between Ryuuji and Hanao is similar to that of Shouji and Hama because they are both unconventional and complicated because of that. Meeting with they guy you liked as a young man after more than 20 years of no contact? That's an interesting setting for sure, which leads to several funny and sexy scenes, because even old men can be sexy and make you horny.

That would be my only complain, having no sexual content in this volume, although I know it is just as in the previous one, with only suggestive and high-voltage dialogues, but I hoped Gorou Kanbe would take the chance to present sex between these characters as something arousing, the way it should, but it was more a comic, humoristic take on it than anything else.

I can only say that Don't Call Me Daddy is a story that deserves way much more attention and respect. It is mature, yet dynamic, fast, appealing, and with nice art as well. Gorou Kanbe knew how to tell this story in a good way so it would entertain and prove a point at the same time. We need more mangas with gay, sexy seniors, that's for sure!

Manga Review: Like Two Peas on a Pod

Hello pornies. How are you today? If you're in the mood for some good readings, then I have good news for you as well because I just finished a manga that you're gonna fall in love with for sure. It is Like Two Peas in a Pod, by Gorou Kanbe. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy for an honest review!

  • Print Length: 208 pages.
  • Publisher: Tokyo Pop (April 19, 2021).
  • Publication Date: April 19, 2021.
  • Genres: Drama, Gay, Manga, Romance, Yaoi
  • Rating: 4,5 / 5
It began with a mistake. When Tanaka and Nakata are given each other’s papers back, they come to a horrible realization...
They have almost identical names. And test results. And body types. And taste in fashion. And sports scores. And hobbies. The list goes on, and as annoying as it is, at least they know they always have each other.
And maybe, just maybe, their similarities run even deeper.

After reading Don't Call Me Dirty and its sequel (which I was SO SURE I had reviewed!), I just had to give this book a chance and see what it was about because the synopsis give just too little information, but the idea of two guys so similar was too interesting to pass. Turns out I was reading like a madman and finishing it in record time. I had to stop a bit to do this crazy, useless thing called sleeping, but I was done right after waking up.

Just wow. Like Two Peas in a Pod is a funny story that makes you smile in every page, but it has a good dose of drama that is impossible not to enjoy. The confusion and mixed feelings many of us experience as we're discovering we may not be as straight as we though are expressed in a raw, honest way. Gorou Kanbe is already one of my favorite mangakas, that's for sure!

The art is just beautiful, with delicate designs that create an atmosphere that makes you feel back in high school, when life was much simpler but seemed to be so much complex. I guess it is actually like that because there are many things you still don't know about yourself and the world, and that's exactly what you re experience as you go through the pages.

I feel we could have gotten a bit more of context in this story, but being a young adult book and a standalone book it is actually very good. Like Two Peas in a Pod gives you enough material to forget about real life for a while and enjoy a love story that seems lost from the beginning. I think Gorou Kanbe rushed the ending a little bit, if you ask me, but I know it is the kind of ending you will like. Mixing humor, romance, and an attractive dose of drama with beautiful art, it's a manga you want to read.

Have you read this manga? Would you recommend it or not? Let me know in the comments! Kinky regards, K!

Queer Martyrs: Lindolfo Kosmaski

Hello pornies. Hope you are feeling okay today. I've been avoiding writing this entry because it is horrible news, but I can't postpone it anymore, even less being in pride month. On May 1, the body of Lindolfo Kosmaski, only 25 years old, was found dead by a shot and his corpse burned in a street in São João do Triunfo, Brazil.

With such a homophobic president as Jair Bolzonaro with a highly hateful speech towards the LGBT+ community, I can't be surprised that this is the kind of acts he has generated. He may have changed his speech a little bit nowadays, but it's way too late because hate is like a fire, the same fire that could have ended the life of Kosmaski, who was a respected and beloved teacher and environment activist.

Some people like to say that there is no need for pride month, that June is simply another month in the year. When that happens, I just want to smack them with some news like this one and see what happens, just out of curiosity. People say you can only fight fire with fire, and while fire can be really destructive, He-Fire is about fiery passion, patience and wilderness. In this sense, I wrote a prayer inspired in Lindolfo's story, and I can only hope things get better in Brazil.

Lindolfo's Fire Prayer
Fire burned and fire killed,
Fire murdered a light set free,
Yet fire guides, shields and heals,
Fire shall shine for you and me,
A fire to learn, discover, and breathe,
A fire that mends and yet doesn't kill.
May these flames be our shield and sword,
May they be our army and storm,
Flames of justice and also of love,
Flames of healing and also of growth.

Kinky regards, K!

Book Review: This is Not a Horror Movie

Hello pornies! I hope you are feeling great today, because I come with a great book I hope you will fall in love with! I don't usually read young adult books, but I like to make an exception now and then, even more when it's a good author, ahem. People, I bring you This is Not a Horror Movie, by Sara Dobie Bauer. Thanks to Gay Book Promotions for sending me a review copy!

  • Print Length: 280 pages.
  • Publisher: Self-Published (May 13, 2021)
  • Publication Date: May 13, 2021.
  • Genres: Drama, Gay, Horror, Humor, Romance, Young Adult.
  • Rating: 4 / 5 stars.
Emory Jones loves two things: horror movies and Connor Nichols.
For the past four years, Emory, Connor, and their families have vacationed side by side on Longboat Key, Florida. Eighteen-year-old Emory has pined for his neighbor from behind the covers of Stephen King books, but college boy Connor has never noticed him. Probably because Emory looks like Jack Skellington with good hair.
Emory anticipates another predictable summer of sunburn and disappointment. Instead, he ends up with a mystery on his hands when a beloved beach bum goes missing, and Connor volunteers to help with the search. Turns out it’s not just scary movie cops who are worthless, so the boys start an investigation of their own—leading them straight to an abandoned beach resort.
Despite the danger, Emory and Connor grow closer, but as Emory’s gay dreams start coming true, so do the horror movie tropes he so loves. Even though he knows that sex equals death in slasher flicks, Emory can’t keep his hands off the guy of his teenage dreams.
This is Not a Horror Movie is a 78,000-word new adult gay rom-com… with a monster.
"In This is Not a Horror Movie, you have two highly engaging characters and a mysterious and funny horror story that simply oozes summertime spirit." - bestselling author Lily Morton.

The synopsis will give you a good idea of what to expect from this novel, and yet there are a few surprises waiting in there. As expected from Sara! Like, really, this woman has nothing else to do but to feck your mind! She build an entire world and then add a little too much spice to make it all the more interesting, but who am I to complain? In fact, who is anyone to complain?

These surprises are not plot twists or crazy AF ideas in This is Not a Horror Movie, but bits and pieces, interesting ideas and scenes you wouldn't expect coming all of a sudden. I admit the idea of the monster and disappearances was left a little behind with a strong focus on the romance, but you can be sure you won't notice at all because of how sweet and funny it is.

However, there is no sex in this book (and here I was, expecting hot, wild, twink sex; how dare you, Sara, how?! *CriesInThirsty*) and it is written mostly for guys around 18. I found myself in Emory, many of my insecurities, fears, hoped his experiences had been mine, but is was healing nonetheless, so another good thing!

The only real problem I have, and it's small compared with the rest of the book, is that the ending was a little bit rushed. Those final scenes were too short for me, and I feel the characters needed a bit more action (you will hate me after reading the book, but I'm not changing my mind btchs *snaps his fingers*). Addictive style, charming characters, interesting plot and a healthy, nice line, This is Not a Horror Movie  is a mandatory reading for this pride season!

IT'S. PRIDE. MONTH. + Prayer

IT'S. PRIDE. MONTH. BITCHES!

I've been wanting for thing month to arrive for SO LONG! June is always so full of love, kindness, good vibes, healing, and empowerment, which are the very exact things I've needed for a long time. This has been a shitty year in many senses, but I've also done many, MANY things (I can't talk about yet, sorry) and June is the perfect season to recharge myself.

I've been listening to Lady Gaga all this morning, and I don't think I'll change my playlist for a while, at least not for this first week. She has been such a big influence on who I am, who I want to be, and what I want to be remembered for, that I can only aim for that, exactly that. I don't know where I'll be a year or two, hell, I'm a totally different place compared to what I thought would be my future two years ago.

Although several of you guys are already out, and some have been for years and even decades, discrimination, bigotry, prejudice, and hatred are a big problem in our world, in some place more than others. Because of this, I want to share a prayer/spell I've used for a long time to get courage, strength, healing, or whatever it is that helps in a time of need. It's a poem that I hold really, really close to my heart, it is very special to me, so feel free to share it with whoever you like, but make sure to credit me in some way.

Sinner, faggot, toxic swine.
Not a word will break my smile
Highest peak or lowest hole,
Either way I'm not alone.
Highest self and shadow side,
Make me strong to face the tide.

I was in a very dark place when I wrote this poem. It came out of nowhere, and I'm so proud of it because it has been a big help these days. I try to repeat it at least once or twice a week, but there was a time when I had to chant it on a daily basis for a minute or two to calm down. It has been my anchor and I can only hope it becomes yours as well. We are one tribe, one group, one big (sometimes dysfunctional and problematic yet still loving) family, and we need to stay together as always.

I wish you all, rainbow tribe, a happy start of pride month!
