First and foremost, I want to strengthen my necromancy skills. Last year’s session was amazing, really, and I want more of that, a stronger connection and faster answers. When I read What is Remembered Lives, by Phoenix LeFae, and Morbid Magic, by Thomás Prower (Click on the titles to read my review,) I saw things under a different light. The first one reminded me that you don’t need to know all your ancestors by family to honor them, for they already recognize you as a descendant, and the second one told me the obvious: it’s not a must to need something to contact them, because who likes a person who is constantly asking for help and never says hello?

I want to explore other Godds. I have worked with Hekate and Melek Tawus for a while, and although I know I can trust them and they will always answer my calls, there are other deities that are calling me. Apollo, Cernunnos, Horus, and Aradia are the ones I will start with. All of them sent signs of their presence when I need help in the past, sometimes when I was desperate, and it’s time I pay some attention.

Also, I want to get better at divination. It is an integral part of who I am as a witch and as a human, so I’m aiming at a better understanding in this practice and for better results. Although I feel confident when using my cards and pendulums, sometimes even bibliomancy (here’s a bit on what that one is about,) I often notice I either repeat the meanings and fail to see something else or cannot see them as easily as I would like.

Finally but not less important, I want to get to really, really, explore the masculine side of magic. There is so much talk about feminine power, the Sacred Femininity, the Goddess and Her power, but what about the God? What about the masculine side of the Divine? I will read and meditate about this, and I will share it here when I think I get something. First topics? The elements, and in the order I work with them: Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Ether.
That’s it. Not long, almost impossible goals, but actually ones I can work with. There are a couple of other projects but that are not that solid right now, so the focus is on those first four. Maybe I will share details on the future, maybe I will add more goals in the coming months, but I am thinking only about these ones right now.
