Book review: Wicked

Hi pornies! I hope you are feeling well. I had the chance to read a short story in this series that I'm in love with, and while I'm still wondering why (and how) I didn't notice sooner, I'm glad I did. ^^ I need something cute, sweet and sexy, and Wicked, by Colette Davison, a free short story in the Heaven and Hell Club.

Jag thought he knew Michael, but he still has a lot to learn.
Halloween at the Heaven and Hell Club is an extravagant affair. The trouble is, Jag didn't realise the holiday meant so much to Michael.
Realising he still has a lot to discover about his lover, Jag decides to give Michael a Halloween to remember.
Can a wicked costume, a sexy dance, and a surprise question, make this the best Halloween Michael has ever had?
Wicked is a short MM romance story, with an age-gap relationship, pole dancing and a happy ending. It follows on from the events of Broken, but can be read as a standalone.

The story is pretty short, as you can notice. Although it doesn't add too much to the series, it gives you a bigger idea of what it means to Jag and Michael to be together, the challenges they may face as a couple, and let's face it, why doesn't like these guys? After we meet them in Broken, it is nice to get back to them, even more while we wait for the fourth book. ^^

Colette Davison keeps the good structure and a medium paced-plot. There's not that much of drama when compared with the other books, since it is more focused on the romance and cuteness of these two lovebirds, yet there's a bit of tension between them because of their relationhip, their new bond and how new everything is for both of them.

It's not that often when you see a couple that allows each other to be vulnerable and speak about their fears, what they are most insecure about. Jag and Michael are one of those cases. While I would have liked to know a bit more, just a tiny bit, this story reminded me of the ups and downs in every relationship.

With a good hand and style, Wicked gives you more of these loveable characters, what it means to let down your walls to let other come nearer, and feel confident enough to speak about your fears. Also, who am I kidding? This is plain sexy, because there's some play, some kinky dialogues and some expectations. The ending left me... I'm not gonna say! But I liked it, hehe.
