What is Yaoi?

Oh yeah, me likes! 😈
Hey there! How are you pornies feeling today? I have a small class for you in case you don't know about this topic. Haveyou heard the word yaoi? Know nothing about it? Then keep reading. ^^
Yaoi is a Japanese word for gay manga and anime about two boys (sometimes more, Oh my...) falling in love or (even better) having sex. Usually, yaoi is directed for a female public, while Bara is a term for this same genre directed at male audiences, but this second one is also used when both boys or men have muscles and look so leather-daddy-ish; you can also expect yaoi to be created by women and bara by men.
Yup, pretty much the norm. 👀
The word in itself means "Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi," or No peak (climax), no fall (punch line/denouement), no meaning, in English. Not that exciting, don't you think? However, nowadays we don't care that much about it and know there are really good plots in the yaoi genre.
Now, you should not confuse Yaoi with Boys love. They are two different things. The first reason is for how the couple works: In Yaoi, we have a seme and an uke, with the seme being active and confident, and the uke passive and shy; these rules don't apply for BL in most of the cases.
You can also find some subgenres in Yaoi. We know about bara already, but there is also Shotacon, which involves kids and teens, Male Futanari, for a man with both penis and vagina, and sooooometimes you may find Cuntboy (don't really like that term, tbh,) for a man with only a vagina. Oh, Futanari is a term for girls with penis, you also have that one, although they don't tend to be used on yaoi.
A little more about Seme & Uke: 👉👌
So, should you expect yaoi on this blog? DUUUH! Of course! I'm more a fan of BL, and I certainly tend to look for comics and mangas with more story, not only sex (but I'm not complaining, hehe,) but yeah, maybe you'll get more gay comics than yaoi, but both will be present in this blog.
Well, I hope this helped a little. You can always go to Wikipedia and read more about this, but in general terms, this is what you will find. I'll see you in the next entry, pornies!

Kinky regards, K!

PS: You may need to add "hardcore" for explicit sex on yaoi stories. You're welcome, pornies.

PSS: There's going to be Shota as well, hehe.
