Hello cuties. I hope you've been okay. This week was insufferable, to be honest. However, I spent the time finishing a book I wanted to read since I knew about it. Of course I ended loving it because it comes from one of warlocks I admire the most. I'm speaking about The Witch's Name: Crafting Identities of Magical Power, by Storm Faerywolf. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy!

Create a Magical Identity that Resonates Deeply with Your SoulThe magical name is one of the most powerful tools in Witchcraft. Each time you use it, a spell is cast that empowers and protects you while also helping you transform into the Witch you've always wanted to be. Not just another book of monikers, this thoughtful resource will help you understand the history and mythology of spiritual names according to various cultures. Explore your strengths and reveal deeper layers of your true self with meditations, rituals, journaling, and other practical exercises. With inspiring ideas for how animals, plants, astrology, and tarot can help you form your magical persona, Storm Faerywolf provides clear steps for choosing and claiming the right name. You'll also enjoy wise words from well-known contributors like Mat Auryn, Phoenix LeFae, Gwion Raven, and Laura Tempest Zakroff. You are a unique, magical being. Your Witch name should reflect that.
After that first interview about names, labels, and their power, I knew I had to read this book, so I asked for a review copy as soon as I could. As I said before, I loved it from beginning to end. It's fascinating to know how this man got started as a witch, what it was like for him in the beginning, where his name came from, and how anyone can get a new one.
I always saw the act of naming oneself as rather simple, or so it was for me. However, there are other elements that can be considered in order to craft a new identify depending on who we are at the moment, who we aspire to be, to do. Storm explains all this with easy, but without taking out the importance of each step. We are given a very practical book filled with meditations, spells, and rituals that also guides us through that journey of self-discovery.
From mythology, history, examples, animals, plants, stones, even creatures, we get to know the meaning behind many elements usually used as part of a witch's name. Not only that, but we are also given many tools so we know ourselves better, in a deeper, more meaningful way. The result is a reading that will help you discover an important part of yourself, mostly who you are as a witch.
As I said, for me, the act of getting a new name has been simple, but reading The Witch's Name: Crafting Identities of Magical Power has helped me understand better what lies beneath. For those who wish to get started in their path, or those who are considering who they are. It's hard to think about something negative, or someone who wouldn't benefit from this book, so I'll just keep on hyping and loving it. You should do the same.
