Thomas Hills is a lonely embalmer who's in some big trouble. His ex-boyfriend has been forcing him to illegally sell dangerous chemicals with no signs of stopping, and Tom doesn't know what to do. His situation gets even more complicated when Cypress Holmes, a smoking hot local florist, walks in on Tom making a deal. Cypress agrees to keep quiet, but his silence comes at a price.
He wants Tom to do exactly as he says and to give him complete and total control over his body at all times. Tom now has no choice but to obey Cypress' every command to stay out of jail. But when Cyprus starts spanking him and tying him up, he realizes he doesn't mind the rough treatment at all. With or without the threat of blackmail hanging over his head, he likes what Cypress does to him... and he doesn't want it to stop.
Author’s Note: This book includes intense sexual scenes, rough spankings, and depictions of death and embalming as they relate to the funeral industry. If this material offends or may upset you, please don’t read this book.

Excerpt
“What do you want? Money?” Tom scoffed, huffing in frustration.
“Well,” Cypress said, “you did just take a very serious stack of cash. I am a pretty big fan of money.”
“I can’t give you that! It’s for—” Tom stopped before he said too much, quickly correcting himself. “It’s not even mine, okay? I can’t do that. I don’t have any money to give you. There has to be something else.”
“Right. How about you just drop down on your pretty knees right now and suck my dick then?” Cypress rolled his eyes.
Tom’s loins were assaulted by a sudden surge of heat, and he stared at Cypress’ crotch as his mouth reflexively watered. He’d heard Cypress say that before, to Gerald of all people, and Tom knew he was probably joking.
But if that’s really all it would take...
“Fine,” Tom muttered through gritted teeth. “I’ll do it.”
“Come on,” Cypress was still chiding him, apparently deaf to Tom’s offer. “You really don’t expect me to believe that you don’t get some kinda cut from that—”
Tom raised his voice, snapping, “Hey! I said, I’ll do it!”
“What?” Cypress blinked.
“Suck your dick,” Tom replied, already starting to kneel before he could change his mind. He’d had some pretty rough one night stands before. This wasn’t so different. He could do this, get Cypress off his back, and stay out of jail.
“Stop,” Cypress said, his thick hand grabbing Tom’s shoulder.
“What?” Tom was instantly embarrassed. Oh, this was such a stupid idea. He should have never even tried it. As Cypress held him in place, the very air around them felt charged. He looked at Cypress’ lips, felt the heat of his grip, and he knew something had shifted between them.
Something was happening.
Tom’s face was getting hot, and he gasped when Cypress pulled him in for a fierce kiss. He didn’t even care how it made his busted mouth sting, its burn lost in the passion of their colliding lips. He was actually kissing Cypress, right there in the hallway.
The brewing energy ignited instantly, and Tom was helpless in Cypress’ powerful embrace. He gave himself over completely, groaning loudly when Cypress’ tongue slid inside his mouth. The kiss was deep, hot, and it sent all the right signals to every inch of Tom’s body.
“You’re not sucking me without at least first fuckin’ kissing me,” Cypress murmured, his fingers raking through Tom’s hair and holding him firmly. “You got it?”
“Yeah,” Tom said, panting hard. The way Cypress was so boldly taking charge had no right to be this exciting. Tom had had some bossy lovers before, but no one could compare to the dominance that Cypress was exuding right now.
His reserved attitude had been swallowed up by a hard gaze and an unrelenting aura. Impossibly, he seemed taller than before, and no one had made Tom’s knees quake like this with just a kiss.
“Now,” Cypress said firmly, “you’re going to suck my cock and swallow down what I give you. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” Tom gasped sharply when Cypress’ grip tightened in his hair.
“Yes... what?” Cypress challenged expectantly.
Tom wasn’t sure how, but he knew immediately what to say, shivering as he replied:
“Yes, sir.”

Book review: Imaginary Lover

Hi pornies! I just finished another book filled with magic, shifters, curses and witches. ^^ Imaginary Lover, by Morgan Brice, was a good novel to spend these days and was published just today. It is the eighth book in the Beyond the Realm: Remember Series, composed of eight standalone novels, and is also placed on the author's Fox Hollow Zodiac SeriesThanks to Gay Book Promotions for the review copy!

“There’s no time. Remember your imaginary lover....”
Cory Caldwell woke up by the side of the road with no memory of how he got there. He pieces together who he is but has no idea what happened to him.
Dark visions haunt him—flashes of blood, magic, and a brutal fight. Scorching dreams of a faceless lover offer no clues. His gut warns that something urgent is eluding him, and that time is running out. Worse is the sense of bone-deep grief, as if Cory is missing part of his soul.
Desperate for answers, he hops a bus for Fox Hollow, a town famous for psychics, mediums, and those with supernatural abilities. Then a stranger calls Cory by name and casts a furtive glance around him. “There’s no time,” the man says. “I need your help. Remember...” Can Cory unlock his missing memories and rescue the stranger before it’s too late?
Imaginary Lover is full of dangerous magic, hurt/comfort, brave monster hunters, dark curses, sincere psychics, found family, and forever love.

There are so many beautiful elements in this book that called my attention! Magic, curses, adventure, a protagonists who doesn't know who he is, and the sense of dread that follows him wherever he goes. Sign me in! Also, it takes place in the same universe as Huntsman, one of my my 9 favorite fiction books so far in 2020. I wasn't going to miss this one!

Morgan has a good style I can't get tired from. Her descriptions and how arousing many of the scenes were made it a nice reading. Getting the chance to visit Fox Hollow was amazing as well, but this time it was more focused on magic, witchcraft and the realms beyond physical reality. There were a few folklore elements that played an important role, so this series seems to go in the right direction for me.

Since it is connected to Huntsman, I expected to see those characters again in this book, so I would recommend reading this series in order. I felt a bit lost, though, after the first half of the novel, becuase there was so much information coming all of a sudden. It made me feel I should have read a previous book, so it's no wonder there is one before this one, Romp. I can't say for sure it will be connected, but I got the feeling there was something I should have known beforehand.

All in all, Morgan Brice created a beautiful story of magic and danger with Imaginary Lover. Cory is a character I could relate to easily, get into his skin many times through the novel, and share his feelings (and some of his sensations, in case you're wondering). I would only suggest you read the books in order so you get the full picture and avoid minor spoilers. ^^ Guess I know what I'm reading next.

About Morgan Brice:
Morgan Brice writes Urban Fantasy M/M Paranormal Romance with lots of magic, spooky stuff, and sexy men.

"Bisexual men exist!" and the power of science

There was an article published for the first time on July 20, 2020 by the Proceedings Of The National Academy Of Sciences saying that biseuxal men exist. Imagine that! "Robust evidence for bisexual orientation among men" and is the work of 13 authors and one editor with more than 500 cisgender men during almost 20 yeras. All of this people and work to prove that we exist. It seems... yeah, stupid, but it is not.

Let's start with the important part, which is the conclussion of this study. I'm still reading all of it, but the one paragraph I need is the one where Jabbour et al. (2020, pp: 18373say that:
In general, results suggested that bisexual men’s arousal patterns were markedly more bisexual than monosexual men’s, and that bisexual men were typically more aroused by one sex than by the other. The combination of our results and the fact that male sexual orientation is bimodally distributed (21) suggests that men with similar high degrees of sexual arousal to both men and women may be especially uncommon.

What does it mean? That bisexual arousal is real, that there could be a preference in most cases, maybe not in other, but the arousal is real, ergo, men who identify as bisexual are real. Thank you, science, thak you to all 14 people who made it possible for me to say that I exist, and I don't mean any of this with sarcasm, because again, this is important. Here's why.

Knowledge is power. I was one of those who said that it doesn't matter at all what science says as long as you are okay with who you are. Fuck the academy. But the truth is that the academy is a powerful tool, and a devastating weapon for those who are agaisn't it. History has proved many times. Just take a glympse at what conversion therapy has done, maybe learn about the treatments of homosexuality in Britain since the 1950s, or about conversion therapy against LGBT people in China. Hint: Not pretty, at all. All of that because people thought and still think they know what LGBT+ people are like.

Humans are a rational species. We need reasons as a support for what we do. While so many people, institutions, academic and papers said that LGBT+ people are derranged and dangerous, unspeakable atrocities were committed becuase of it. Things are different, there's still work to do, but there has been a chage becuase there are more studies and information.

I don't need 14 people to tell me that I exist, but to tell others that I do. They are 14 swords and shields that proove I'm sane, I'm okay, that I'm telling the truth, because every single bisexual has been told they are confused, greedy, hinding, and an impressive myriad of adjectives that do nothing more than damage your confidence.

I live in a society and a family who will attack me with all they have, and knowledge and studies are the only weapon I can use (and the only ones I want to use, for the record). When I speak, it is not only me, but also the universities and professionals in the field that are with me. I may not remember all the titles, but I know I will find them if needed becuase they are there. Suddendly, I'm not alone. I have the academy on my side, and if people fail to acknowledge that then it's their loss, ergo, my victory.

When I read Throwing Stones, by Robin Reardon (loved that novel, by the way), there was a phrase about how only love mattered. You cannot change a person with studies, you can't make them love you for who you, but you can prove you're not sick, confused, or anything, that you're the same person.

Maybe they grew up in a different environment, a different family, maybe they didn't have access to that information. Although it is not your duty to educate anyone, because the information is there and every single thinking human can get it, you can guide those who want to know how true is that which they learned.

In the mean time, I'll celebrate every single July 20th from now on.

Queer Pagan Interview: David Salisbury

Hell-low, pornies. Hope you're having a killer week. There's a certain, no-nosense kind of Witch whose work I admire a lot and I truly believe many should learn from him whenever they can. I had the chance to talk with author David Salisbury about Witchcraft, Activism and its role in the Craft, because it has one and we both agree in that. Keep reading to know more about it, and thanks to David for doing this interview! Be sure to follow him on Twitter and Instagram.

1. Which came first: Witchcraft or Queer Identity?
The witch identity came first for me, although the realization of being queer wasn’t too long after. I started training in the Craft when I was 12 and it was a couple of years later that I came to understand my queer self. I like to think that both things inform the other. When I started to embody myself fully as a witch, it felt very seamless to come into my queerness. I strongly believe that there is an inherent queerness within witchcraft so I’m very grateful that those two things flowered for me around the time age range in my life.

2. How would you describe your path as a Witch?
My daily practice is what most would see as an odd mix of ecstatic witchcraft and ritualized ceremonial magick. I’m both an initiate of the Feri tradition of witchcraft as well as a Thelemic order and both of those influences are equally important to me. So you’ll find that one moment I’m writhing about channeling wild spirits, and the next I’m waving a sword around and speaking in Hebrew and Greek inside a chalked circle. These paths both consolidate well for me. In Thelema we recognize Nuit as the highest embodiment of the universe, who in Feri is literally the “Star Goddess” among other names. And so my path is based in the eternal desiring and yearning for the infinite, both within the self and without. My goal in my path is to continuously fall in love with myself and with God Hirself, who is also me.

3. Do you feel your sexuality has played a role in it?
Sexuality is vital in both of the named paths that I identify with. Thelema is often jokingly called a “Solar-phallic sex cult” and Feri is intimately steeped in the importance of our pure, wild, sexual natures (which we call the “Black Heart of Innocence”). To me, the concept of desire is in itself the core of all meaningful spiritual contact. I experience desire when I sing my hymns to the gods, when I’m engaging in direct spirit contact, and also when I’m sharing myself with another person. All of these things are different embodied experiences that result in the same thing: a holy state of reunion with the divine. My status as a man who is attracted to men also plays out in important stories and mythologies that I’ve grown up appreciating and love to this day. The mythic history of queer love is something I find so sacred and inspiring, both at the altar and away from it.

4. You have worked on several manifestations and activism events. Is there one aspect of society you feel is not being the attention it needs?
This is a hard one because there is an unspeakable amount of societal brokenness. It’s hard to pick out one thing in particular because so much of it is connected. Black trans women are being killed at a devastatingly disproportionate rate in the U.S. and abroad. Climate change is causing conditions that continue to deepen global poverty and disease in populations around the world. The displacement of individuals experiencing homelessness due to the class system continues to destroy lives. I see so much of this as interconnected. Our society has a broken relationship with power and has for hundreds of years.

5. There are several Pagans and Witches who claim that Witchcraft should not be "tainted" by being used in politics, and I would say it is especially popular among those new to the Craft. What do you think about this?
Frankly, I think anyone who thinks that witchcraft and politics must not be connected is deeply out of touch, both with witchcraft and with the world we live in. There is a saying- “the political is always personal and the personal is always political.” Witchcraft is about having the right to consensually love whom we will. It is about the care of streams and forests and fields. It is about recognizing the value and holiness inherent within all beings regardless of borders or nation. It is about our right to access our personal power and liberty as we see fit. Because of this, witchcraft in particular is inherently one of the most political forces imaginable. If a politician destroys the sacred wood by your home in favor of luxury condos, what happens to the spirits you work with who live there? If a politician says that a valued member of your coven is an outlaw because of their immigration status, how would you feel about that? Witchcraft calls us to acknowledge the ways in which we are both complicit with oppression and warriors against it. If we don’t, then we’re just playing a fantasy game and making wishes on birthday candles. Witchcraft deserves the substance that being engaged with the world brings.

6. Should Witches and Pagans be interested in activism or social matters in any way?
We must! I remember as a teenager seeing a cheesy bumper sticker that said “activism is the rent I pay to live on this planet.” And I don’t care if it's cheesy. It's true. As people who tend to be more aware of the state of the world than some others, witches and pagans have a duty to use our voices, our bodies, our minds, and our magic to make a change. Don’t just become interested. Become invested.

7. You published your most recent book, Witchcraft Activism, in 2019. What was it that made you work on it? Would you say you are different because of that book?
To be perfectly honest, the publisher (Weiser) asked me to! I had long thought I’d write something on the topic but it wasn’t until they came up with thought for me that I put pen to paper. I’m glad they approached me to do it or I probably would have waited too long, and the moment for it was definitely there.
Although I did several books before Witchcraft Activism, this one had such a different reaction. It's the only book that garnered attention from the mainstream media, causing a profile with CNN, and Donald Trump Jr. calling the whole concept “deranged” when he heard of it. It was also the only one that felt deeply personal as opposed to a “how to” type of manual that I typically do. I’m extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to write it and I continue to learn so much as I hear from folks who read it and have shared their own perspectives on the topic.

8. After so many manifestations this year and in the middle of a pandemic, and in your opinion, what role should Witches and Pagans have? What can we do on any scale while these things take place?
Primary and most importantly, be kind. Now, this is not a call to be weak or to coddle those who choose oppression. Instead, it's an invitation for curiosity. Question the things that seem standard and unmovable and dare to move them. When loneliness and hatred closes in around you and you feel overwhelmed by its grip, choose to expand in love. T. Thorn Coyle says “Like God Hirself, we are always in process” and I think this is the perfect response to this question. We are always moving, however slowly, into our becoming. Do what you can to make things just a little bit better for the least among you. Activism doesn’t always have to look like a march on the streets. It's every little conversation and choice we make to be informed and to use that information to be better.

9. Looking back in time, let's say, five years ago, which is your most significant change?
The 2016 election completely transformed my work at my day job, in my personal life, and in my career since all of those things are involved with the political landscape. It was also a time when the witch community all of a sudden became more politically engaged than ever before, which was great to see, but also kept me very busy!

10. Which are your plans for the future?
So I’m at that weird age (mid 30s) where I’m solidly in a place I want to be while also still trying to think about what’s next and where my Will might take me. I have a lot of ideas writing-wise that are a bit outside of what I’ve been doing that I’d like to explore. You’ll likely see my first non-witchy book experiment towards the end of 2021, if I get enough buy-in on the idea.

11. Which would be your advice for new and future Witches and Pagans?
Don’t get too caught up in expectations and dogma. Some will tell you that witchcraft is only xyz while others will tell you it's whatever you do. Try to find the happy middle; practice, read, learn, make pals with spirits, and carve your own way. Witchcraft holds the unique paradox of having both a very old current and an ever-evolving face. Lean into that because it's what keeps these traditions exciting and alive.
And once you find your footing in our little world, please join us in pushing our communities to be queerer, browner, more radical, and everything else that earlier generations of witches have failed to bring to our tables. It starts with us!

Book review: Willowhope Manor

Hello over there, people. ^^ I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today I come with another review, this time with a bit of ghosts and fantasy for you: Willowhope Manor, by Sammi Cee. This is the second book in the Beyond the Realm: Remember Series, composed of eight standalone novels. Thanks to Gay Book Promotions for the review copy!

  • Series: Beyond the Realm: Remember Series #2
  • Print Length: 134 pages.
  • Publisher: Selfpublished (October 8, 2020).
  • Publication Date: October 8, 2020.
  • Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Gay, Homoerotic, Romance.
  • Rating: 3,5 / 5
“There’s no time. Remember Willowhope Manor.”
All Chance wants is a change of pace and a little excitement, so opening a B&B in a town surrounded by ghost stories sounds like the perfect solution.
Throw in Jett, the super-sexy handyman, who is as willing to work him over as he is to help return the manor to its former glory, and Chance knows he made the right decision.
On the surface, the renovation is moving along perfectly. Then Chance asks questions that were better left buried, and the manor is quickly overrun with restless spirits.
Will Chance have to sacrifice his dreams, tuck tail, and run, or will Jett stand by his side to face-off with the ghosts of Willowhope Manor?
This is a fun and silly story about two men finding themselves in a campfire-type ghost story while falling in love.

I liked the idea for this book and even more after I started it. These characters are far from perfect, and with their defects they set the stage for an interesting nvoel inspired by old ghost stories. I liked hwo things got started and the course they took, even more how the author played with the instalove idea to make it much better than I thought at first.

The fantasy part took a bit of time to appear, being in the background for almost all of the first half of the book, but once it came it did taking the center and front of the stage. The way things got dark and creepy like in legends and scary tales got me excited. All of that mistery and magic kicked me in the face when he least expected it!

However, the part of the explanation got me confussed and took me out of the reading in a second. I kept reading and going thought those pages, but I was totally lost. It wasn't until I was done with a few pages that it all made more sense, although I till fail to see how a single character could guess all of that in all of a sudden. Those scenes were the only ones that didn't work for me, to be honest.

If you like ghost stories with a dose of humor and kink, and vivid, teasing descriptions that put your imagination up to work, this is definitely the kind of reading for you. I liked a lot how Sammi Cee worked on Willowhope Manor, how she developed and made the characters take their time falling in for each other. That last scene was the year's biggest tease, though!

About Sammi Cee:
Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning. These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories. Twitter.

Book review: Storm Warning

Good morning, pornies! I hope you are having a good week. ^^ I just finished reading a book that gave me a good, really good night. Storm Warning, by Thom Collins, is a lovestory that I needed to read, with real, human characters and a nice dose of romance and kink. Thanks to Gay Book Promotions for the review copy!

  • Print Length: 186 pages.
  • Publisher: SelfPublished (October 12, 2020)
  • Publication Date: October 12, 2020.
  • Genres: Drama, Gay, Homoerotic, Romance.
  • Rating: 3,5 / 5
A contemporary gay romance novel from the author of North Point and The Anthem Trilogy.
Jamie Johnson is going to sea for the first time in his life. Atlantic Star is one of the most luxurious cruise ships in the world, and a two-week trip to Iceland offers Jamie the perfect escape. His life has been on hold since the death of his husband and a working holiday onboard a state-of-the-art ship is an opportunity to explore the world he’s been hiding from. A chance to think about his future and decide what he wants to do with the rest of his life.
When Dexter Fordyce steps onboard, all he wants is a good time. The cruise is his first holiday in years, and workaholic Dexter is ready to relax and enjoy himself. If he can manage a little fun with someone like Jamie, even better. Jamie is flattered by the attention. Dexter is handsome, charming and great fun and proves impossible to resist.
Jamie’s hopes of romance died with his husband. The prospect of a shipboard passion is attractive, but Jamie’s heart has been broken for too long and he can’t take the risk of falling in love. With stormy weather ahead, the two men are set for a voyage they will never forget.

When I read the synopsis, I knew I had to get this book. It's a story about a man healing from his wounds his traumas, his memories and loss, and about another one totally different. Seriously, these two guys could be the antithesis of each other, and still the chemistry was undeniable, the romance was natural and the development convincing.

I liked how the author explained each scene and dwell into the details, not too much so you get lost, but just enough to give you a full picture. There were quite a few that made me smile and dream with everything the characters were living, and let's be honest, who doesn't? I felt there with them, and more often than not I wanted to put them together once and for all, because you suffer for them (in a good way, of course).

This book has almost no issues. A bit of insta-love, if you ask me, so I would have liked a bit more development, maybe a bit more insight into Dexter's life, because most of the book focuses on Jamie, which is not bad, but there could have been a few more conversations of memories to sympathize with him. But again, this was a fine reading.

Due to that last scene, I guess this will be the first book in the series, but there is no mention of such a thing anywhere, so I'm left a bit confused. I'm not sure that would work on a standalone book, but it was still a nice reading. Thom Collins did a nice job with Storm Warning, and if this becomes a series I'm more than looking forward to see what happens next.

About Thom Collins:
Thom Collins is the author of Closer by Morning, published by Pride Publishing. He lives in Durham, North East England. He enjoys writing racy, romantic thrillers and creating strong, sexy characters. He is currently working on a new romantic trilogy. He lives with his husband and two cats.

Book review: Facing the Darkness

Hi everyone. How are you feeling today? I come with a book I wish I had had back when I needed it the most, but that I'm happy I read now so I can be prepared the enxt time life has some nasty surprises for me. Facing the Darkness, by Cat Treadwell, is a spiritual manual for Pagan in dire needs, in short. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy!

  • Print Length: 116 pages.
  • Publisher: Moon Books (October 25, 2013).
  • Publication Date: October 25, 2013.
  • Genres: Meditation, Mental Health, Paganism, Spirituality.
  • Rating: 5 / 5
Facing the Darkness aims to support those going through times of crisis and depression - primarily Pagan, but accessible to all. Utilizing Pagan spiritual imagery, skills and perspectives, a combination of inspirational text and easy exercises work with images and stories to distract and encourage for short-term relief and long-term healing. From the apparent hopelessness of deep night through to the inevitable return of sunrise, Nature imagery, tales of mythology and Deity combine in accessible meditations, activities and anecdotes to remind the reader that they are not alone on their path through the darkness. Cat Treadwell acts as a guide through the forest, working with the Druid skills of Bardic tales and Ovatic land/spirit connection. Darkness and despair can lead to peace and inspiration...through the simple bravery of stepping forward.

The book is made by truly short chapters, thought this way for when you're under a lot of too-much and just need a quick answer, and for that purpose there are segments in bold letters. However, there is enough information and details in case you want to dwell deeper into them and select your own, not to mention you could do a lot of journal work with each topic.

I found several interesting and appealing ideas, many meditations, visualizations and thoughts that I will consider and think about the next time I feel I need a Pagan SOS. That's perhaps what I liked the most about this book, that it offers not only general spiritual options for spiritual people, but also Pagan-oriented ideas that many will like. It's nice to see this kind of material focused on Pagans and Witches.

The style is so simple to follow and direct it's easy to get the core ideas in a fast reading. I decided to test if I could get those reading fast and not as attentive as I do on purpose, so I would know what it may be like reading it when stressed, and it works perfectly. When I actually read the content and paid more attention, my guesses weren't far from the whole idea. This mental-health concerned Witch approves!

Facing the Darkness, by Cat Treadwell, is the kind of book you are going to want to have near when you are depressed, worried, stressed, anxious, or under any other extreme emotion. It helps you cleanse, heal, defend your mind from itself and put yourself back on track. I'm glad I had the chance to review this one, and I strongly believe it should get more attention!

Recomended Necromancy Videos

Hi pornies. How was your weekend? Mine was filled with readings, hehe. Among so many books and so little time, I am having regular rests between one and the other, and I found three interesting videos on Saturday night about Necromancy.

While I wrote about it in the past, this irst one summarizes and extends some of the ideas I had. It explains some of the history behind this school of magic (please let me know when the classes begin) and why it was seens as bad, disrespectful and harmful. The practices associated with it are also included, so it will give you an idea of what it meant to be a Necromancer in the past and what you had to do in order to successfully summon the dead.

There is also another one which goes a bit deeper and gives historical examples of what was necromnacy, figures who were charged with this praciced and condemned because of that. If you liked the first one, this will give you a bit more about its history.

Finally, a shorter one, where British philologist and Assyriologist Irving Finkel, curator in the Middle East department of The British Museum, explains how Necromancy was performed in Ancient Mesopotamia. It's a rather interesting method and I'd like to know more about it in particular. Guess I'll have to do some research and see what I can find.

So there you go. I hope you find these videos interesting and that thye give you some ideas if you want to try this out. I was surprised with the last video, because I have one raven skull necklace (the skull is artificial, just in case) that I use in my Necromancy session. Guess I wasn't that mad as I thought when I commissioned it, hehe.

Kinky regards, K!

Book review: Support - Purity and Control 1

Hi there, pornies. How is that weekend going? Today I come with the book review for Support: Purity and Control 1, by Devon Vesper. This was a much better reading that the previous installements, and I'm excited to see how things go from now on. ^^ Thanks to Gay Book Promotions for sending me a copy of this book and next ones!

  • Saga: The God Jar's Saga #4
  • Print Length: 302 pages
  • Publisher: Magelight Press (January 23, 2018)
  • Publication Date: January 23, 2018
  • Genres: Fantasy Romance, M/M Gay Romance
  • Rating: 3,5 / 5
As Aesriphos Valiant, Valis needs all the support he can get. Oh, and he needs a husband, too.
Support: Purity and Control 1 advanced in ranks in the holy warrior order of Aesriphos on accident. If he doesn’t find a husband soon, it could undermine the entire order because an aspirant must marry before advancing.
He knows who he wants, he’s just too afraid to act on it. But as they go on a quest to help a friend, being so close to Tavros is filled with temptation Valis isn’t sure he can resist.
As they fight for their lives, Valis learns more about himself as a person and as a leader, but the challenges only keep coming, and some of them have a price that just might be too high to pay.

While the previous books seemed to go too slow to my liking, this one was faster, had more things going on, several action scenes that took Valis out of his comfort zone, and made it all the more interesting. This will be an interesting trilogy, I'm sure, and I'm glad because I was starting to fear things wouldn't move.

Devon Vesper's writing style is more fluent at this point, and I liked how she immersed me in the story. While there were some descriptions that I didn't feel added much to the story, they kept the charm nonetheless. It was great to see the characters develop

My only issue? The idea of the chosen one came out of nowhere, contrasting a lot with how many other things were developing. I knew it would happen one way or the other, but I just thought it woudl feel more naturally. This did take me out in an instant becuase felt as if was put in there just for the sake of it, to keep the plot moving and prepare the ground for future books.

In general lines, while it could be a bit better, I enjoyed my time with Support: Purity and Control 1. Devon Vesper surprised me many times with this book, there was almost one in each chapter, and the spiritual messages are plain beautiful! Although there is violence, this is a story of spiritual connection, forgiveness and love.

About Devon Vesper:
Born on a Navy base in Patuxent River, Maryland, Devon has traveled the world, living in Sigonella, Sicily for three years, and visiting many European countries before moving back to the states around the age of seven. She’s lived in Florida for sixteen years, Oklahoma for a year, and Pennsylvania for the rest. She graduated from surgical technology school near the top of her class in 2004, and uses her medical and worldly knowledge to enrich her books whenever possible. Since she has bipolar disorder, PTSD, social anxiety disorder, general anxiety disorder, clinical depression, and has trouble leaving her house due to all that, Devon works full time as an author and editor, and spends as much time as she can talking to other authors and her readers. Website.

Book review: Abs Lust Exposed

Good morning, sweeties. ^^ I guess after this I'll give this series a rest because there's nothing else to read, but be it known that it is just because of this and that I decided to accept the wait! Today I'm talking about Abs Lust Exposed, by Ty Debauchee, the sixth book in his Desire SagaThanks to the author for the review copy!

  • Saga: Desire #6
  • Print Length: 93 pages
  • Publisher: Selfpublished (October 15, 2020)
  • Publication Date: October 15, 2020
  • Genres: Drama, Romance, Contemporary, Erotica
  • Rating: 5 / 5
HOT BOYS, SUPER HOT BODIES, ULTRA HOT NAKED ESCAPADES
Two hot guys together after a college formal cannot wait to get into each other's pants, but when will Ty and Garrett find themselves truly alone? Who is to say a bit of public exhibition or two won't provide enough fun to tide them over?
In the back row of a late night movie, what can happen is limited only by the imagination. Oooh, the cinema usher is really hot too! I wonder what antics they can talk him into before he kicks them out. And how late will the hotel hot tub be open? These are all very important concerns on the night after a formal dance.
Stay on the edge of your seat! Don't worry about missing the movie, but try not to make a mess!

First of all, I'm not exagerating with this rating! This book is so insanely hot you cannot phyisical read it in a single sitting. I was biting my lips and my heart raced so many times I would go crazy if I didn't ease some tension. Engaging, sexy, cute, romantic and with a slight dose of realism to let you breathe again. This was just what I expected and more!

For honesty's sake, the best way to describe this book, and the entire series at this point, is as a romantic porn. Seriously, I never thought there could be so much sex in a single book! It seemed a bit unrealistic, but that's the point of a fantasy. Everything was so perfectly described I couldn't help but picture myself in all of the story. Also, you'll get a new, sweet dose of fetishes and wild debauchery!

The style has improved a good deal at this point, with very few issues that caught my attention. I guess the only real thing I could suggest is that the reassurances of love shouldn't be as often as in the first books, but othr than that I struggled to find anything that took me out of the reading (besides, you know, constant pauses to get relieved).

I liked a lot that Ty Debauchee remained integral to his morals and limits in this book, and that despite how liberal these stories are there's still some prudence. This is the kind of sexuality (er, f*cking?) we need in fiction. Abs Lust Exposed honors its title in every single sense you can imagine. I guess we can only expect some loose ends to be tied up in the next books to make it perfect.

PS: This is my favorite cover so far in the saga!

About Ty Debauchee:
As an energetic man at 6’4” tall and 195 pounds, I very much enjoy athletic pursuits including basketball, waterskiing, and snow skiing. While having a quiet and shy personality, I value my integrity above all else with loyalty to my friends and family coming in as a very close second.
Growing up with the stress of gay urges in a straight world and struggling to find my place in the world, I frequently used my dreams and fantasies as an emotional crutch to get me through some very challenging times. By sharing these stories in my books, I sincerely hope to ease the stress of others who might be facing the similar challenges and offer an entertaining escape for anyone in need. Website.
