I'm on Patreon!

Rise and shine, kuties!

This is gonna be a short entry to tell you something important: I've been thinking about taking this step for a long time but, in short, I just said "Why TF no?" So I'm now in Patreon!

I'll keep the blog for reviews, interviews, more personal stuff, but from now on all the material I'll write on bisexuality and the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales as bases for witchcraft, along with my tarot + bibliomancy readings, are gonna be in Patreon.

I've spend many days making sure I'll have enough ideas and a structure to work with. One of my friends is also helping me with a very special tier: Exclusive digital art! We've been brainstorming ideas about what to do, and the first design is becoming amazing!

If you like that kind of content, you're curious, want to know more about it, and support this dream of being a full-time writer, I hope you subscribe and share it with others! I haven't seen much content like this, but I will always welcome resources, opinions, references, and any helpful, polite feedback!

Last night, during the Fall Equinox and during the Bi-sibility week, I submitted it for review, and it got approved in minutes! It may sound nonsense to you, but I want to look at that as a positive sign. I'll hope for the best and, like always, thank you so much for the love!

Kinky regards, K!

Manga: Loved Circus

Have you read a story expecting one thing but getting a different one? I finished a copy of Loved Circus, by Nemui Asada, and I was so surprised! I thought this would be a shameless story full of sex, debauchery, and lust. Instead, it's a beautiful manga about bonds, trust, and morality. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy!

  • Print Length: 240 pages.
  • Publisher: TokyoPop.
  • Expected publication Date: December 6, 2022.
  • Genres: Drama, Gay, Homoerotic, Romantic, Yaoi.
  • Rating: 4 / 5 stars.
Ordinary salaryman Kei has ended up at rock bottom after falling in love with a call girl and spending his life savings trying to pay off her debts. Now living out of his car while hiding from loan sharks, he contemplates ending it all...
But when he comes to, Kei finds himself saved by the men of Circus, a brothel that caters only to male clientele. Despite his despair, he clings to the lifeline they offer him, and it becomes more than just an opportunity to pay off his debts, but a strange and unexpected respite. Living and working alongside the other men, each trying to survive in their own way, Kei faces his new chance at life head-on, learning both the sweetness and ugliness of desire and love — for a night and for a lifetime.
Mature Content Warning: This book contains explicit content and mature themes, including blackmail, attempted suicide, violence, sex work, and non-consensual sex. It is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.

As I mentioned before, I was expecting this manga to be filled with different kind of sexual situations, debauchery, and madness. However, I got something totally different: A story about two men who become friends, maybe something more, in the middle of a highly misunderstood world. I should have known better coming from Tokyopop and their wholesome stories, really.

There are indeed a few spicy scenes, some bating, but the development and the topics that the story touches are more interesting than expected. You can safely say this is a manga more about bonds and friendship than just erotica or porn: it's about discrimination, morals, life's teachings, and the uncertainty of future.

I do wish the romance had been a bit more explored, and that more importance had been given to the non-consensual sex scene. It would have been a big improvement, given how important those two elements are. While not a problem straight away, I feel the later could have been better developed, and the second was downplayed a bit.

However, Loved Circus is a beautiful story about finding yourself and overcoming adversities. Kei and Shiro are appealing as characters, seemingly simple at first, but with their own secrets and personalities once you get to know them better. While the ending was perfect, it would be great to know more about them and how their relationship evolves.

Book Review: Scars

Rise and shine, kuties! I got this book and couldn't stop myself from reading it. In all fairness, I'm always reading more than one at the time, always, but I freaked out when I found out about this one: Scarsby Cat R. Scott. Thanks to the author for sending me a review copy!

  • Series: Permanently Black and Blue #2
  • Print Length: 471 pages.
  • Publisher: NineStar Press (August 30, 2022).
  • Publication Date: August 30, 2022.
  • Genres: Contemporary, Drama, Erotica, Gay, Romance.
  • Rating: 5 / 5 stars.
After a disastrous first kiss, Shaun is angrier than ever. He doesn’t want to be gay, and he’ll do anything to avoid talking about his emotions. Jesse, however, is intrigued with the new–secret–budding romance and he needs someone to talk to.
Against Shaun’s advice, he befriends Kyle, Shaun’s ex-best friend, and tells him a lot more than he should. When everyone at school finds out about them, Shaun quits the band to escape the embarrassment.
Depressed and struggling with his sexuality, Shaun is hesitant when his old bandmate comes up with the idea for him to front his own band. With Jesse’s encouragement Shaun figures he might as well give it a shot.
Jesse wants to support him as much as possible, but he’s got serious issues going on at home. They are talking about moving out, but Jesse still has one last secret he’s holding on to, and he wonders if Shaun is mature enough to handle it.

I've been waiting for this novel since I read Deep Cut, and O. M. G!! I had to force myself to go to sleep and go on with some things, but man it was hard to stay focused! The characters and the plot are just everything I could have expected them to be. The pace was maddening, and every twist made it worse, but in the best of ways!

There are many things going on at the same time, but Cat manages to keep them all under control and unleash a magic like nothing I've seen before. She has a terrific hand at creating all kinds of scenarios and adding whatever she needs for the book to keep moving. Drama, romance, complex situations, sex... You name it!

Speaking about sex, OMG again. This book was hot! All the tension from the previous book, so thick you could cut it with a knife, finally exploded here. There's a primal need in almost every page. As soon as the sexual elements come into actions, they become essential, but only for the sake of it, but also to add another layer to the characters' development.

I cannot, and will not, say anything about this book, and whoever has a problem with it better stay away from me. But now, seriously, it's been a very long time since I was this addicted to something. I just wished it had come sooner, and that the third one doesn't take this long to come out. My heart needs more, girl! Scars was one hell of a ride, one I won't get tired of recommending to everyone. Please, please, read it!
