Sigil Presentation: Corn Moon Sigil

Hi pornies! Happy Corn Moon!

I was crafting this sigil and focused on success, gratitude, generosity and grounding, and that's exactly what this month's full moon means for me. It was a bit tricky since I wanted to have it all well included, but after several tries, here it is!

How to use this sigil?
  1. Draw it in your feet to ground yourself before your Corn Moon ritual.
  2. Draw it in the air to thank the Divine for your success and the blessings of this year.
  3. Include it in any gift you may give to ayone to send them positive energy.
  4. Meditate with it, reflecting in how has helped (in any way) to be where you are right now, and thank them for doing it.
  5. Any other use you can imagine!
Kinky regards, K!

Moving Halloween?

Hi pornies!

What is this I'm reading about changing the date of Halloween? In short, there is a group of people that thinks tat Halloween should be the last Saturday of OCtober instead of being on October 31st. Although their reasons are good and I see they are intended for the kids to have a better experience, I have the strong feeling that there are lucrative reasons behind this... Did I mention that it is The Halloween & Costume Association’s who made the petition? Something to think about.

However-part-two, this is not something that should worry any Pagan or witch who follows the Wheel of the Year. Halloween and Samhain are not the same. Samhain will remain on October 31st, no matter what people want and decide. It has history behind, it has a magic of its own, and as long as October keeps its 31 days, thi won't change. Jason Mankey wrote an incredible post about the matter that you should read.

Although it bothers a lot of Pagans, and I myself felt insulted when I started writing this post, now I'm thinking: Why does it bother us? We can still celebrate Samhain AND Halloween the same day. I mean, it's not like President Donald Trump cares a whack about a world-wide festivity or has any chance of changing it, mind you.

Halloween is a magical time for me, it has been since I was a kid and for many, MANY witches and muggles as well. It doesn't make any difference when we celebrate it, although I am a 365-day-Halloween kind of person, to be honest. Who cares if anyone thinks Halloween should be on April 17th? It will still be Halloween.

Kinky regards, K!

Sigil Presentation: Lammas Sigil

Hello pornies!

Although I m a bit late today, there's still time to celebrate Lamma, right? If you agree with me, then here's the Lammas sigil!

Being the firt harvest of the year, and the day after which the days become shorter,  I decide to symbolize that with a sunset (fire alchemical symbol) and the roots that give birth to the plants and herbs we harvest with love (earth alchemical symbol and lines.) There are three dots for Integrity, love and unity (and moon baby over there?) and an egg for the life that, although now dies, will come back.

How to use this sigil?

  1. Burn it as a way to thank the universe for all you have achieved this year.
  2. Write a list of your achievements and goals you acomplished this year and sign it with this sigil.
  3. Trace it on yout fruits, herbs vegetables and food in general as a blessing.
  4. Meditate with it about your roots, your family and ancestors, and how all those who came before have influenced your path in any way. (Hey, you are the fruit of their tree!)
  5. Any other use you can imagine!

Kinky regards, K!

Book Review: Llewellyn’s Little Book of Unicorns

Source.
Hi pornies! How are you feeling today? I just read Llewellyn’s Little Book of Unicorns, by Angela A. Wix, and I come to say YOU. MUST. HAVE IT! Period. End of the review.

Ok no, seriously, it is amazing and funny. The book explains how you can connect (or reconnect, you never know) with the unicorn energy and to create your own unicorn atmosphere in case you may need. Keeping in mind that almost all of us live in a routine-based world, I guess many of us are on need of it now and then, trust me on that.

Llewellyn’s Little Book of Unicorns not only explains this, but also lets you get more familiar with basic, 101 level of unicorn lore. What they represent and what symbols are often associated to them, for example, are some of the topics Angela A. Wix will share with you guys.

Speaking about the author, she has a funny, engaging style that keeps you trapped inside the book, devouring page after page and wanting to know more about the topic. This is not only because she knows what she’s speaking about (and if you read her bio on the book, you’ll agree with me,) but also because she shares many personal unicorn-related anecdotes and experiences.

Although you are discovering these fabulous animals while reading Llewellyn’s Little Book of Unicorns, you get the feeling you’re talking with a friend. The author has a familiar, easy going style, although she never loses her professionalism and serious approach on the matter; not that she doesn’t include jokes or commentaries that make you giggle now and then, mind you.

Angela A. Wix has given us enough advices in order to get back to that innocence and all that fabulousness unicorns represent, and I strongly encourage you to give it a try and read Llewellyn’sLittle Book of Unicorns. By the way, am I the only one who considers them male gay icons? And I swear it’s not because Lady Gaga’s BTW music video! Ok, well, maybe just a little, tiny, insignificant bit… Maybe.

Kinky regards, K!
